You’ll need our permission to reproduce Pearson copyright content. If you want to reproduce or copy an extract from a Pearson title, please read these guidelines before making your request online.

Check that the extract and/or illustrations/figures that you want to use are from a Pearson title published in the UK. If they originate in the USA or belong to Pearson assessment products, please request permission using these details instead:

Pearson Education, Inc. website
For titles that originate in the USA published by Pearson Education, Inc.

Pearson assessment website
To request permission to use extracts from Pearson assessment products.

Check the credits, acknowledgements, and notes on the copyright page or at the back of the publication. Copyright in photographs, illustrations, and poems usually belongs to the photographer, illustrator, or poet rather than the publisher. Copyright in quotes made by historical/well-known figures rarely belongs to the publisher. We don't have access to published copies of all of our books and are unable to check this material on your behalf. If material is attributed to another source, person or institution, please contact the cited party.

For translation or licensing rights in an entire text of a work, see Global rights licensing.

If the extract is substantial, we may charge a fee at our discretion. When you submit a request, you'll get an automated response to confirm that we've received it and tell you our current processing time. This will vary depending on the volume of requests we're receiving, so please make yours in good time. Please note that any required information not submitted may cause further delays. Please be patient and avoid sending repeat requests once you have confirmation that we have your original one.

It's important that you don't assume you have our consent if you haven't received a response within our or your own given time frame.
